No question, Grace, that'd be the best of both worlds. But given the choice between our walkable dense neighborhood with overhead powerlines, and any more isolated suburb without--I'm not budging.

I would like to put our neighborhood's power lines underground. In case of high winds, I wouldn't want the power/light pole in front of my house to topple over. That one even comes equipped with a transformer full of PCP. Something I would much prefer underground in a conduit.

Heh. Yes, I imagine you don't get a whole lot of technicolor leaves where you are. It must be pretty neat to live on a street with palm trees - it feels so exotic to me!

Cool picture Penny. And love the description with it...makes it even more interesting. however, I enjoy my neighborhood with no power lines. Makes it harder when we are shopping for a new house in a new state that doesn't bury their power lines.
